Her daughter Kelsy made it safely to Slovakia. She is set to start school immediately.

Went camping in Lake Placid.

Her kids went back to school. Her son starting 4th grade and her daughter starting 1st grade.

ANNOUNCEMENTS & CLUB BUSINESS
If anyone has pictures of retail businesses in Salem please provide them to the calendar committee. They are looking for old photos for our upcoming calendar. Rich Eisner requested an old photo from Giblees of its old Salem storefront. Beth Bower found an old picture of Salem in Maine.
Bruce Whear has arranged for us to provide 4 meals to the Salem Mission this year. We will be in need of volunteers.
Danvers Rotary will be organizing a one-pitch softball tournament on September 25th. The tourney will take place at Danvers field which all clubs from our district are invited. Please see Andrew Barnes for details.
District Membership and Foundation Seminars are being held Thursday September 30th at the Crowne Plaza in Danvers. Please see John Neely for details and sign-up.
Our new Rotary Exchange Student from Belgium has made it safely. He will be staying with Joanne Scott and her husband Ed. He could not make this weeks meeting due to a conflict at SHS. We are in need of two house parents. Please see John Neely or Joanne Scott if you are interested.

President Bill and Bob Dionne would like to announce our Salem Rotary Scholarship Raffle. The club is going to raffle off a Boston Celtics Getaway. The winner of this raffle will win the following:
(2) Premium Seats to the Boston Celtics -vs- the Chicago Bulls on Friday November 5, 2010. 8:00pm tip-off.
Round-trip Town Car transportation from their home to the Bulfinch Hotel in Boston. The car will pick up the winner and guest at 3:00pm on November 5th. The car will then pick them up at the Hotel upon checkout and bring them home.
One overnight complementary stay at the Bulfinch Hotel in Boston. This beautiful Hotel is located across the street from the TD Bank Garden. Waiting for the winner will be a bottle of champagne in the room. The room will one king sized bed.
A $150.00 gift certificate to the Union Oyster House in Boston. A 6:00pm reservation will be made for the winner and guest.
A $40.00 gift certificate to the Flat Iron Restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant is conveniently located in the Bulfinch Hotel.
PROCEEDS OF THE RAFFLE WILL GO DIRECTLY TO OUR SCHOLARSHIP FUND. 5 TICKETS WILL BE PROVIDED TO ALL SALEM ROTARIANS. PLEASE DO YOUR BEST TO SELL ALL 5 TICKETS BY TUESDAY OCTOBER 12TH. THE PRICE WILL BE $25.00 PER TICKET OR 5 TICKETS FOR $100.00.
THE RAFFLE WINNER WILL BE DRAWN AT OUR MEETING ON TUESDAY OCTOBER 19TH.
