Recognitions and Fines: 

  • Visiting Rotarian Vicky Staveacre from the Marblehead Harbor Club
  • Darryl Poppel guest of Dave Benson
  • Hazel Sturgwolt guest of Jane Sturgwolt
  • Jim Haskell paid a fine for his picture in the paper with other Rotarians for the Mary Jane Lee Park clean up
  • Lefty thanked the club for the participation in the park cleanup.  Over 20 Rotarians lent a hand that day
  • Rich Eisner paid a fine for not being one of the 20
  • John Walsh just returned from Florida
  • Dave Benson brought his niece who just graduated from UMass and if anyone has a job opening.....
  • Deb Amaral paid a fine for the wonderful newspaper article about her being recognized as Foster Mother of the Year.  We aleady knew you were wonderful, and now it is confirmed!
  • Deb also announced that the Bowditch School needs help assembling playground equipment on April 30.
  • New member Susan Berton announced she is doing the North Shore Cancer Walk, June 21.  You can donate online or through pledge sheets which are available on the tables.
  • Nick Calitis just returned from a fishing trip in New Brunswick
  • Mary Ann Lyons is also participating in the North Shore Cancer Walk and accepting donations
  • Vicki Staveacre from MHD Harbor Club announce the Star Spangled Pops on May 16.  You can contact Vick at 781.249.7517 for more information

 

Program for the April 21st Meeting:

 

New member Joanne Scott was inducted.  Bruce Whear and Trip Mason made the presentation.

 

The Speaker was Jennifer Bell from Salem Main Streets was the speaker.  Salem Main Street's is a local organization with the goal to revitalize downtown Salem as a vibrant year-round retail, dining and cututal destination.  The organization is always looking for volunteers.  You may contact Jennifer at 978-744-0004.
