Club members are urged to suggest local projects for District Simplified Grants. DSGs are made annually by our district and are applied for by clubs. They are funded by District Designated Funds (DDF--contributions to The Rotary Foundation that are returned to districts).
Here are some of the Guidelines for the new Rotary year:
- DSG’s will be evaluated and approved in the order that they are received. DSG’s will continue to be evaluated and approved until the funds designated for them by District Governor Ingrid are exhausted.
- Clubs may apply for $1,000-$2,500 in district designated funds.
- Grants should be for local projects within District 7930.
When choosing District Simplified Grant projects, clubs are strongly urged to focus on the areas of peace and conflict prevention/resolution; disease prevention and treatment; water and sanitation; maternal and child health; basic education and literacy; and economic and community development.
