Your's truly glady handed over the money I earned for taking a bet from JQ that I could not do one pushup after completing my 6th Ironman Triathlon two days earlier. I not only did one, but 10 for JQ and 5 for Frank, and if anyone else would have be willing to pay up to the club I would have kept going. Any takers?????

President John read a toast we received from the President of a club in England:
-
I am the newly installed President of West Ashfield Rotary Club here in the United Kingdom . We are a small club with 24 members situated on The Nottinghamshire / Derbyshire border in the heart of the England . We meet on a Tuesday evening at 1900hrs at the Derbyshire Hotel, South Normanton .
Nottinghamshire is famous for Robin Hood and Derbyshire for the Peak District, Chatsworth House and Rolls Royce Aero engines. We also have fierce rivalry between two soccer clubs.
As I embark on my presidential year I have decided at club meetings to toast the President and members of a Rotary Club in New England . I have spent a number of fantastic vacations in New England , and the area it is very close to my heart. I stayed at the Hawthorne Hotel last fall but sadly did not coincide with you meeting
I have chosen to toast and celebrate your club this week.
Would you please send my best wishes and those of my club to all your members.
