SPEAKER/PRESENTER OF THE WEEK

Ed Barker, Barker Margue Wines

Ed Barker is a partner at Grange Wine Marketing. He is the man behind the  branding of Barker's Marque wines.  His aim is to deliver complementary brands so that a retailer could buy 2 or more wines from the same source. Working initially with postgraduates at Emerson College on a branding exercise, the packaging has been professionally designed and market tested.

Grange Wine Marketing is the importer of Barkers Marque Wines from Marlborough, New Zealand.  These are the kind of wines that American consumers want from New Zealand – clean, fresh, intense Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs of the highest quality. The wines are at prices that everyone can afford.  Prices that you don’t expect from a family run, niche supplier of wines of this quality. Grange Wine’s partners, John Grange and Ed Barker, based in Massachusetts, represent over 50,000 cases of fine wine a year. They import and sell the wine that Ed’s brother, Simon Barker, makes in Marlborough.
