Denise and Kelsy Flynn along with Viktoria Talebian were involved in a Spin-A-Thon last week. Team Rotary raised $1000.00 to support the YMCA and were the top fundraisers for the event. Great Job!

John Walsh introduced our newest member Troy Wilson. Troy was proposed by Bob Conley and is a Chiropractor in Salem. Welcome to Salem Rotary Troy.
The Change for Change collection raised $758.84. The year to date total is $1,841.23. Lets keep collection and fight hunger in Salem.
A special thanks goes out to Randy Burba and his Associates, Mark Leavitt, Dave Benson and Bruce Whear for preparing and serving the latest Salem Mission dinner.
The World Peace and Understanding Dinner will be held on February 9th at the Danversport. It starts at 6:00pm.
Salem Rotary District 7930 have donated 53 Shelter Boxes for Haiti. Some clubs are doing additional fundraisers to raise additional funds.

Chief Paul Tucker, Salem Police Department
Chief Paul Tucker was sworn in as the new Chief of Police only few months ago. Prior to becoming Chief Paul was the Captain of Detectives for 18 years. The transition from Captain to Chief has been tough for Paul especially when he watches his guys get ready for a bust.
Chief Tucker spoke about some very exciting technology that the Salem Police Department may get in the future. This technology will help the Department make arrests much easier.
