ANNOUNCEMENTS
Please make note that our meeting scheduled for Tuesday May 18th will be moved to Thursday May 20th. This is to accommodate a visit by the incoming GSE team from London, England. The Salem Rotary Club will be one of two sites in the District to host the team. We are expecting visitors from several area clubs to join us.
Our Celebrity Bartending Event is vastly approaching. Please remember to bring friends, family and co-workers. It will be held at Finz Restaurant at Pickering Wharf from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on Tuesday May 11th. Celebrity Bartenders include: Mayor Kim Driscoll, State Rep. John Keenan, President John Hall, Frank Campbell, Ken Rothwell and Sean Stellato. It is sure to be a fun event!!!!!!!!!! The proceeds from our specialty drinks that are purchased will go directly to the Salem Rotary Club. Other drinks will not therefore please be a big tipper.
The Interact Club will be hosting a job fair May 27th from 2pm to 3pm. If anyone is interested in participating please see Liz. It is a great opportunity to speak about your business and potentially have a student work during the summer.
President-Elect Bill Kielbasa mentioned that the Salem Rotary Club will sponsor a traffic island in Salem. We will plant flowers at our site and sure to make it look great. Also, we will have the opportunity to plant flowers at the site of our Rotary sign downtown Salem.
President John is proud to announce that Liz Bradt will become the new Vice President of Salem Rotary Club. She has done a wonderful job with the Interact Club and we know she will make a great VP. Congrats Liz!!!!!
