Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation sponsor several important programs in which The Rotary Club of Salem participates.

Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies Program

For adults working in a related field, admission to a university-level three-month intensive program in Bangkok, Thailand.  Most expenses are covered by The Rotary Foundation.

Rotary Group Study Exchange (South Africa)

 

Four working adults aged 25 to 40 will travel with a Rotarian Team Leader to South Africa for the moth of March 2009.  They will be hosted by Rotary District 9300 (Johannesburg and environs), A similar team from South Africa will visit Massachusetts later in the spring.

Rotary Long-Term Youth Exchange Program

 

For high-school students currently in 9th through 11th grade, the opportunity to spend the 2009-10 school year in another country, attending school, living with local families, and having many cultural and travel opportunities.  Expenses are shared by the student’s family, the host Rotary club and the host families.
