Amy Luckiewicz thanked Rinus for his year of service. She complimented Rinus for leading the charge of the Salem club’s focus on diversity, new member orientation, and team focus of “we” vs “I."
Amy also made a special presentation to Bruce Whear and presented Bruce with his 4th Paul Harris Award. This award was given to Bruce for his Academy Award winning performance as “Paul Harris,” explaining the worldwide impact of Rotary, as well as the true meaning Of the Four Way Test to new members.
Chris Casey hosted a former Rotary exchange student from Toronto that his daughter met during her year of study in Bolivia.
Chris also extended an invitation to his home on July 9, 2019 at 6pm for the Friends Forever students.
Joanne Scott thanked everyone for their time and service at the taco dinner at The Boys and Girls Club.
Rinus presented to Pillar Garro a check for the House of Seven Gables for the Turner Level Sponsorship. The donation also includes sponsorship for the
"Taste of the Gables."
Leslie Levesque reminded everyone of the Phoenix School's tribute to Betsye and Barbara to be held on Friday June 28, 2019 at 6pm at ROOT, and the $100 raffle to win a “Trip around the World.”
Mike McLaughlin thanked everyone for their attendance at his installation dinner.
He reminded everyone in attendance to look at the graph of committee assignments to make sure they align with their desired skill.
Jason Consalvo give temporary badges to Judy Kane and Kristin Armstrong and welcomed them into the Salem Rotary Club.
Patty Pace read a thank you letter from the Salem Council on Aging for sponsoring their Senior Prom.
Rinus gave a review of his year in office as president. His recap included his accomplishments, financial budget, new initiatives, and focus group for next year.
In addition, he expressed his gratitude to all of his chairs, co-chairs of subcommittees and his "braintrust" for their hard work and support throughout his year of service.
