Come enjoy the company of your fellow Salem Rotarians in a much more relaxing location. We are returning to Trade House which has ample outdoor seating if the weather cooperates and a working A/C if it is unseasanably hot. IYKYK. 

Salem Rotarians Say…

Jim Rose missed the last two meetings as he travelled to Chicago and Wisconsin. Jim highly recommends going to Wrigley Field. He went to the Jose Baez game where the Boston native smashed three home runs in his debut. He also went to the Obama library and Wisconsin state capitol building, the tallest in the US. He also saw an architectural marvel which got applause from Rick Jones.

Heather Lang's brother is in town and they're going whale watching. 

Leslie Levesque's oldest child is off to college for good. At least that's what she hopes.

Gerrit Bradley has a friend who is a sports masseuse who is getting new cabinets. No bird report.

Bill Henning reported that Thomas is out of town in Panama City as part of his goal to learn Spanish. He has a Spanish professor. They are off to Sri Lanka in September. 

Tyler Hains is excited that all three boys are in the same musical theater show together. The show is called Patience and will be in Methuen on September 12. His eldest has the lead. He is alone now as his wife is off to a conference in Europe and will return just before the shows. 

John Fisher explained why the softball reunion last week was so elitist.

Hannah Beth Hembree gave an update on the small house project she and Philip have taken on. The water turned on with no leaks. The Salem Pantry launched their $12 millio fundraising campaign, and they are already halfway to the goal. There is a celebration on November 13 at Olio in Peabody.

Jen Close shared a powerful story of reunion. She went to Denver to meet her “new” brother Matt and his family of four children. They connected through Ancestry.com.

Jason Lang reported that his uncle had sadly passed away in July, so he helped his mom clean out the house in Delaware. It was an emotional experience and he kept many powerful photos. He ran a race while he was down there. His mom has decided to move to Salem.
