Susan Wisser - Medical Aid in Dying

Bio Sketch for Susan Wisser RN, MSN, MBA

Susan has had a long and wonderful career as a nurse in a wide variety of
settings. From the intensive care unit to directing a brain injury rehabilitation,
there were so many heart-warming moments. Susan has two masters degrees,
one in nursing and the other in business. She was one of the first to hold
certification in case management. She has published in numerous professiona
journals, has been a speaker at national conferences, taught in the College of
Nursing at Villanova University and Northwestern Michigan College, and retains
an adjunct faculty position with the College of Nursing at Michigan State
University, her alma mater.
Prior to moving to the Northshore last year, Susan spent 20 years as the Patient
Relations Manager in a large teaching hospital. This ultimate advocacy role
allowed her to utilize her broad background, focusing in on the concerns and
fears faced by patients and families in the acute care setting. Thus, a specialty
evolved in addressing and managing End of Life Experiences.
